Who we are
Just Share is developed by Ken and Heidi Konecki and published by Ken Konecki. We operate JustShareOils.com and provide independent, doTERRA-focused education and conversational assistance, including the Just Share ChatGPT plugin and its assistant, Pete. Just Share is not owned or officially endorsed by doTERRA.
Information we collect
- Contact and support: Our contact form asks for your name, email address, topic, and message. The email it sends also includes a submission timestamp and the originating page URL. If you email us or follow up, we receive the information you include in that correspondence.
- Newsletters: When you separately subscribe, the website sends your email address and the referring page URL to Beehiiv to manage the subscription and send a welcome email and newsletters.
- Website operation: Hosting systems receive technical request information, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time. This information may be included in operational or security logs. Form processing and restricted event access use session cookies and server-side session data for validation, spam prevention, and access status. The events access form also processes the access code you enter.
- Browser storage and embedded features: The website stores your preferred Pete panel mode in your browser's local storage. Shared pages load an embedded website assistant from app.justshareoils.com, even when the panel is closed. That application receives the page request and processes any messages you enter there. It is separate from the ChatGPT plugin.
Operational diagnostics may also contain information returned by integrations, including newsletter signup responses when diagnostic logging is enabled.
How we use information
We use contact details and messages to answer inquiries and resolve support issues. Ken monitors the support inbox. We use subscription information to deliver newsletters you request, and technical and session information to operate the website, remember preferences, manage restricted access, and prevent misuse.
Contacting support does not automatically subscribe you to newsletters or marketing.
The Just Share ChatGPT plugin
Just Share is an educational and conversational assistant developed for ChatGPT. It is currently being prepared for public release. The plugin uses instructions and reference materials within ChatGPT and does not operate a separate Just Share conversation server.
ChatGPT conversations are processed under OpenAI's applicable privacy policy and your account settings. Those settings and policies govern OpenAI's handling of conversations, including storage and use of content. Our support-email retention rule does not control OpenAI's retention of ChatGPT conversations.
The website assistant at app.justshareoils.com is a separate application; this description of the skills-only ChatGPT plugin does not describe that application's data handling. Please avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive personal information in either assistant or in support messages.
Service providers and other platforms
We use Microsoft 365 through GoDaddy to process and store support email, Beehiiv for newsletter subscription management and delivery, and website hosting services to serve the site. These services receive information needed for their respective functions.
The website loads fonts from Google Fonts and styles, icons, and scripts from jsDelivr. Your browser contacts these providers to load those resources, sending technical request information such as your IP address and browser details. Google Calendar supplies event information to the website; links to Google Maps, Google Calendar, social media, and ChatGPT take you to other platforms.
OpenAI and platforms you visit through external links operate under their own policies and account settings. Their practices are separate from our handling of support records. We do not promise particular retention periods or deletion from independent providers' backups.
Data retention
Our newly approved plugin-support procedure is to review routine resolved conversations monthly and delete records under Just Share's control once they have been resolved for more than 90 days. Monthly reviews have not yet begun; this procedure does not describe our past handling of support messages.
Unresolved issues, disputes, or applicable legal obligations may require longer retention. The 90-day rule applies to routine resolved plugin-support conversations, not to all website, newsletter, or business records. Other records have different operational purposes and provider practices; this policy does not establish one universal retention period.
Deleting our support records does not promise immediate deletion from independent provider backups or delete information in your ChatGPT account.
Your privacy choices and requests
You can contact Just Share to ask about your information, request correction where applicable, or request deletion of information we control. We may need to confirm which records belong to you. Active issues, disputes, or legal obligations may limit what we can delete.
To stop newsletters, use the unsubscribe or email-preferences link in a newsletter. Contact us if you need help. Use your ChatGPT account controls for OpenAI-held conversation information. You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings, although this may reset preferences or affect forms and restricted access.
Information security
We take reasonable steps to protect information, including form validation and measures to reduce forged submissions and spam. No website, email service, or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
Children and sensitive information
Just Share provides education, not medical care. We do not ask you to submit medical records, passwords, financial credentials, government identifiers, or other unnecessary sensitive information through the contact form or ChatGPT plugin. Please do not include it.
The ChatGPT plugin does not target children under 13. Use of ChatGPT is subject to OpenAI's age requirements and any applicable parent or guardian permission. If you believe a child has sent unnecessary personal information to Just Share, contact us so we can review the records we control.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or information practices change. We will post the revised policy here with an updated date.
